  • The coloring book consists of 125 pages of simple illustrations with three- to four-word captions for beginning readers.
  • Artist Tony Sgroi was a prolific comic book artist, character designer and layout artist. He worked for Dell Comics and Hanna-Barbera working on animated series from The Flintstones in the 1960s to The Smurfs in the 1980s. He continued working until his death in 1998, a career that spanned four decades.
  • Unlike the Dell Comics, the illustrations of Cheyenne in this book bear resemblance to Clint Walker.
