Cheyenne Board Game released in 1958
Colorful playing board of the Cheyenne Board Game
Spin the dial to move forward.
Game pieces that must be "shot" in order to advance.
The objective of this fusion of board game and tiddlywinks is to advance across the board, "shoot" any obstacles and reach the finish -- the "Express Station" -- before your opponents.
On an individual turn, a player spins the "Corral dial" and moves their piece forward. If they land on a gun space, they must attempt to knock over a cardboard obstacle using a plastic disc in order to advance. If the player misses, he or she must wait until the next turn to attempt the shot again.
Obstacles include bandits, indian warriors, horse thieves and rustlers.
- The illustration on the game box is based on a promotional photo for the television series that was also published in Cheyenne Comic Number 6.
- A version of the board game was released with Ty Hardin as Bronco Layne as the main character, but the name of the game stayed the same.
